Change of Mind Policy

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange if the customer has a "change of mind".

  • Items worn on or against the skin such as earrings and necklaces
  • Personalised products
  • Custom or made to order items

Eligible Returns

If for any reason you change your mind about any eligible purchase, we will gladly refund the purchase price, provided:

  • you return the goods within 14 days of purchase (or delivery in the case of online orders)

  • the goods are in As New Condition and accompanied by:

    • proof of purchase

    • original packaging

    • any accompanying paperwork

Refund or Exchange Process

If the product you received is faulty or damaged, a refund or exchange can be issued by following these steps:

  1. Photographic evidence - Please take and submit multiple photos showing the product fault or damage, as well as the condition of the mailer box / packaging it arrived in.
  2. Proof of purchase - please quote your order number which can be found in your confirmation email.
  3. Describe the issue - Please tell us the reason for your request for a refund or an exchange.

Please send all the above information to hello@woodwithwords.com.au for your claim to be assessed.

Refunds can only be issued via the same payment method used at the time of purchase. Exchanges are only possible for the same items and cannot be substituted for other items. Refunds or exchanges are only possible if we are notified of the issue within a reasonable timeframe. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, or for spelling errors in the personalisation information that you send to us.

Please note we do not accept returns on gift cards.

 

EU & EEA Customers — Right of Withdrawal

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 calendar days from the day you (or a third party you nominate) receive the last item in your order.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at hello@woodwithwords.com.au or submit a return request through your customer account before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this policy, but it is not obligatory.

Items not eligible for withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised or custom-made items, including: Christmas Ornaments with custom names or text, Personalised Keyrings, and Personalised Earring Ornaments. These are exempt under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive as goods made to the consumer's specification.

Conditions for return

Returned items must be unworn, unused, in their original condition and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Return shipping costs

EU customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a tracked service as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

Refunds

Once we receive your returned item (or proof of dispatch, whichever is earlier), we will refund your original payment within 14 calendar days using the same payment method used for your purchase. We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the goods. Outbound shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or we made an error with your order.
